About phaunt

Bringing photoshop to the mom and photographer, one step at a time. Speaking in language you understand, with content you care about; understanding that you aren’t interested in learning how to create a realistic rendering of the Death Star, or how to create life like blood and guts on your latest Photoshop Zombie creation, you just want to learn how to edit your photos in a way that will save you time and allow you to express yourself.
As a mom of 2 myself (Lilly: 6 years old & Katie: 2 years old), I know what it’s like to sit down in front of photoshop and be overwhelmed at the possibilities that the program offers. When looking for resources and information on the web (and in print) I never found anything that I felt was geared towards me as a mom AND photoshop user. There’s mommy friendly sites and geek sites, but not too many that combine the two and make content that is tailored for the Photoshop Nerd/Mom/Photographer. My goal is to change all that.

I know you don’t have hours to delve into the intricacies of Photoshop (although I will admit that I enjoy that part at times), because you’ve got errands to run, dinners to make, diapers to change, and trips to the park to make. I know that the time you have to devote to any one task is most likely interrupted by potty breaks, requests for more chocolate milk, and the need to let the dog out AGAIN. That’s why I keep things simple and accessible, all the while teaching you things that YOU want to learn.
I also tend to make a fool of myself at times, because in reality, I’m just a bit dork. I don’t take myself too seriously, because life’s too short to care that much about appearances. Hopefully it helps others ease up a bit and realize that it’s okay to be imperfect, just as long as you do your best.
I love email, comments, feedback, and suggestions, so email me at info@phauntactions.com to chat!
